What is the child/teacher ratio?
Our ratio of teachers to children is usually 5 to 1.

Our stage is required to complete no less than 25 hours of Child Development training every year.  They are also CPR and first aid certified. Also, every employee undergoes a background check.

Am I allowed to be involved in my child’s classroom?
Yes.  We would love for you to not only be involved. Parents are given the opportunity to volunteer and be involved in the classroom. We also practice an “open door” policy, so feel free to stop by your child’s classroom at any time. We encourage you to be a part of your child’s day and you’re encouraged to visit and to attend school parties and functions.

What is the security like?
At Darnall School, the safety and security of your child is very important to us. A code is required to enter the building and to go to the classrooms.  Only parents and relatives, or friends with express permission are every allowed to get your children. On top of these measures, we have checks and balances in place to help assure your child’s safety with our risk management system, as well as fire protection and drills. If you have any other questions, we are more than happy to discuss our policies with you.

Do you help with Potty Training?
We assist daily in potty training with children of that age.  We have many years experience in this area and know that consistency between daycare and home is important.  We are more than glad to help.

Are any resources available?
A parent resource table is available to you. Please feel free to use this resource.

I only need part-time care, is this available?
We offer both part and full-time care for infants 6 weeks old to K-4 (and after-school care).  We even take care of children on a school holiday.
